20 homes. One community. Delivered in days.
More than
housing.
We are committed to continue learning, which deepens our understanding of colonial history. We are engaged to continue the work of decolonization in all our interactions.
Every Indigenous housing project we undertake is more than housing. It’s about creating a sustainable future that respects and integrates the cultural and environmental heritage of Indigenous communities.
We partner with First Nations and Métis communities to deliver modular homes that are built to the highest quality and durability standards, in partnership with CMHC and government agencies where applicable.

Partnership & delivery.
How does Herauf work with Indigenous communities?
Herauf partners directly with First Nations and Métis communities, and with CMHC and government agencies where applicable, to deliver modular homes built to high quality and durability standards. Our approach is partnership-led and grounded in ongoing learning about colonial history and decolonization.
Can Herauf deliver housing to remote First Nations communities?
Yes. Because homes are built complete in controlled facilities, Herauf can serve communities that conventional construction can't reach, including St. Theresa Point First Nation in northern Manitoba, where homes were delivered across a seasonal winter ice road.
How fast can homes be installed in a community?
Modules are built in advance while site work proceeds in parallel, so on-site installation is rapid. At the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement, 20 homes turned an empty plot into a lived-in community within days.
Does Herauf have references from Indigenous partners?
Yes. Signed reference letters from Zagime Anishinabek and St. Theresa Point are available to view on this page.
