Nisichawayasihk Northern Housing
Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, Manitoba · Rapid Portable Skid System Housing
Housing for Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation in northern Manitoba, built on the Herauf rapid portable skid system. The skid carries the home from the plant floor to the site and stays under it, so the build does not wait on a poured foundation and the unit can be relocated if the community's needs change.

About this kind of building
Buildings for northern and remote communities are built complete in the south and shipped whole: by highway, by winter road and ice road when the ground is frozen, or by barge where a coast or a lake allows it.
