Offices and community services buildings
Herauf's Winnipeg building is the child and family services office serving St. Theresa Point First Nation, manufactured off-site and delivered complete. West of the city, it built an office for a Federated Co-op agro centre at Neepawa, finished indoors before it left the plant.
The office in the catalogue is 55' × 18', with five offices, a boardroom and a kitchenette, and it is the starting point for an agency, band or program office; smaller site and safety offices are on modular office buildings. Buildings for First Nations communities, from offices to clinics and homes, are on Indigenous community buildings, and the Winnipeg office is written up at the St. Theresa Point CFS office.
Daycares and school buildings
Manitoba's Early Learning and Child Care Building Fund supports community-based child care projects, new centres or expansions of existing ones, for up to 60 per cent of eligible project costs. Construction done before the grant is approved is not eligible, and an approved project has to be finished within two years, so the schedule matters from the first estimate. The rules are walked through in modular daycares and Manitoba's building fund.
Herauf builds daycares for 30 to 47, 65 to 82 and 90 children, and additions that connect to an existing building, all on modular daycares and schools. For school buildings, Manitoba government tenders above trade-agreement thresholds are advertised on MERX, and school divisions run their own; Seven Oaks School Division, for one, posts tenders over $100,000 on MERX.
Washrooms for fuel sites and parks
Two of Herauf's Manitoba buildings are cardlock washrooms: one for Twin Valley Co-op at Birtle and one for ValleyView Co-op at Virden. The Birtle building runs a self-contained wastewater system with insulated piping and heat trace, so it works year-round where there is no sewer to tie into.
Nine barrier-free washroom and shower configurations are on modular washroom and shower buildings.
Delivered into northern Manitoba
For St. Theresa Point First Nation, Herauf built through the off-season and delivered roughly 700 km north over winter ice roads, a community reachable by ground only when the ice roads form. It has also delivered youth housing at The Pas and skid-system housing for Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation. How buildings reach places like these is on northern and remote modular buildings.
