What is a modular washroom building?
A modular washroom building is a washroom or shower building built complete inside a factory, with fixtures, finishes and mechanical systems installed, then delivered and set on a prepared pad or foundation ready to connect. Herauf's washroom units meet or exceed CSA A277 and the National Building Code.

What sizes do modular washroom buildings come in?
Herauf's nine standard configurations run from a 14' × 14' single washroom and shower to a 42' × 18' building with washrooms, a canteen and a change room, including a 38' × 12' layout with men's and women's sides. Every standard configuration is barrier-free, and all are built to order and can be customised.
Does a modular washroom need a sewer connection?
No. Units can tie into municipal services or be specified with self-contained water and sewer. The Twin Valley Co-op washroom in Birtle, Manitoba runs a self-contained wastewater system with insulated piping and heat trace for year-round use.
How long does installation take on site?
Days. The building arrives complete with fixtures, plumbing and electrical, so on-site work is the foundation, connections and inspection. Most builds are manufactured and delivered in about 16 weeks, with the pad and services prepared at the same time.
